Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our national Remediation Practice, delivering permitting, compliance, remediation, and construction services for railroad and industrial clients. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and mentor staff while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

This remote-friendly role offers flexible scheduling, up to 25% travel, and opportunities to deliver high‑quality environmental projects nationwide,

Qualifications

• 15–20+ years of professional environmental/engineering consulting experience.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or environmental engineering.
• Experience with railroad clients.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor a project team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and on large multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage relationships with clients to scope, schedule, budget, and deliver permitting, compliance, remediation and construction projects.
• Lead delivery of projects with technical advice, planning, design, permitting, and construction services.
• Engage in business development, proposals, client interviews, and marketing activities.
• Supervise project teams and coordinate subcontractors and resources.
• Deliver technical tasks and support project success; emergency response may be included.
• Develop site investigation plans, evaluate remediation options, review construction plans and regulatory reporting.
