Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking experienced Engineering Technical Problem Authors to contribute to AI systems for engineering. You will create and evaluate challenging, real-world problems and assess AI responses for accuracy, rigor, and relevance.

In this remote contractor role, you will apply mechanical engineering knowledge across aerodynamics, CAD, and related disciplines, delivering high-quality technically sound content on a fast-moving project.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in engineering preferred, or substantial industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on technical engineering experience.
  • Experience creating technically rigorous problems via exams, competitions, or assessments.
  • Professional-level English with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Author and evaluate advanced technical problems across Aerodynamics, Materials Science, CAD/Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Circuit Design, and related disciplines.
  • Review AI-generated technical responses for correctness, engineering accuracy, completeness, and practical relevance.
  • Apply engineering judgment to real-world design, analysis, troubleshooting, and failure scenarios as well as theoretical problem contexts.
  • Analyze complex technical issues, identify ambiguities, and recommend clarifications to problem statements, assumptions, and conditions.
  • Develop technically rigorous problems that test analytical reasoning, engineering principles, calculations, and design judgment.
  • Provide structured written feedback and clear explanations to improve AI-generated technical reasoning.
