Job summary

Atlassian seeks a seasoned engineering leader to join the Spark growth team in a role focused on experimentation and user acquisition. You will mentor engineers, shape product and platform strategy, and drive scalable, AI-enabled infrastructure across Atlassian surfaces.

You will partner with product managers, TPMs, and designers to deliver high-impact outcomes while maintaining team health and engineering excellence. This role offers flexible work location and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading software engineering teams.
• 2+ years managing engineering managers or senior engineers.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong background in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with applied AI/ML systems, LLMs, AI agents, or AI evaluation frameworks.
• Proven collaboration with product managers, TPMs, and designers.

• Provide technical direction and guide long-term architectural strategy.
• Champion engineering excellence across reviews, tests, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Ensure system scalability, modularity, and maintainability.
