Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Image Build & Release to own the systems turning source code into secure, signed container images. Remote role in the United States, focused on improving release reliability and security across the platform team.

You will lead CI/CD pipelines, enforce image hardening, collaborate with OTA services for image updates, ensure reproducibility, mentor engineers, and manage build infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building CI/CD for containerized apps.
• Docker-based image construction with multi-stage builds.
• Image signing and scanning with Cosign/Trivy.
• Experience scaling CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI).
• Deep Kubernetes image management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the CI/CD pipeline for container images from source to signed artifact.
• Define image hardening and security strategies to ensure compliance before shipping.
• Collaborate with OTA Services to deliver reliable image updates.
• Establish standards for build reproducibility and release gating.
• Mentor engineers through code/design reviews on complex systems.
• Manage build and release infrastructure and address pipeline failures.
