Kforce Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Power/Control Systems Engineer (P.E.) for a client in the Houston area.

This role leads EI&C projects for municipal and industrial facilities, from concept through commissioning, and is fully remote within the United States. You will design power distribution, develop short circuit and coordination studies, create I/O lists, PLC/HMI networks, and seal deliverables as Engineer of Record while coordinating engineers and designers.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or similar degree.
• Active P.E. license in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical design/Instrumentation & Controls experience (NEC).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for I&C drawings.
• Experience with PLC or HMI/SCADA platforms.
• Ability to read electrical/network drawings and control schematics.
• Ability to lead EI&C design/construction; water/wastewater experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead EI&C projects from concept through commissioning.
• Select equipment and develop power distribution and control system designs.
• Develop power system studies like short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow.
• Prepare P&IDs EI&C portions and I/O lists, wiring diagrams.
• Design PLC/HMI networks and instrument/specify equipment.
• Seal deliverables as Engineer of Record and oversee designers/engineers.
• Perform QA/QC and coordinate construction-phase support.
