Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Senior Electrical Power/Control Systems Engineer (P.E.) for a client in the Denver, CO area. The role leads EI&C projects for municipal and industrial facilities, from concept through commissioning, focusing on design, power studies, automation, and project execution.

This position is fully remote. Key responsibilities include selecting equipment, developing power studies, EI&C P&IDs, control system design, PLC/HMI networks, and coordinating designers.

Qualifications

• Must have PE license in good standing.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of electrical design and/or instrumentation and controls design experience (NEC/NFPA 70).
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical for production of electrical and I&C design drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead EI&C design and project execution from concept through commissioning.
• Develop power system studies (short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow).
• Prepare EI&C portion of P&IDs and control system design.
• Design PLC and HMI networks and I/O architecture.
• Review deliverables and supervise designers/engineers.
• Provide construction-phase engineering support and RFI responses.
