Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator in the United States to support large-scale, mission-critical data center programs. This role leads detailed estimates for power distribution, backup generation, and critical systems, collaborating with engineering, construction, and procurement teams across the project lifecycle.

Candidates must be US-based and authorized to work in the U.S. Remote work is permitted within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience, preference for data center or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Advanced knowledge of power distribution, backup generation, UPS, and codes.
• Experience estimating high-density, hyperscale electrical systems is desirable.
• Proficiency with estimating tools such as Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, Bluebeam; familiarity with BIM data.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to lead and articulate cost drivers.
• Proven ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed electrical cost estimates for hyperscale data center projects including distribution, substations, UPS, generators, and switchgear.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, and BIM models for conduit, cabling, transformers, and related infrastructure.
• Develop, validate, and challenge pricing models aligned with budgets and market conditions.
• Establish historical cost data, benchmarks, and standards to support forecasting.
• Review bids, identify scope gaps and cost risks, and support procurement discussions.
• Lead value engineering and design optioneering while maintaining redundancy and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction leaders on cost, constructability, schedule, and risk.
