Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across regional and global Data Center teams. You will serve as the senior technical reviewer for complex systems, ensuring quality and scalable standards while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant data center or mission-critical experience.
• In-depth knowledge of critical power systems, power-system studies, protective relay coordination, codes/standards, utility interconnections, and commissioning requirements.
• Ability to balance power architecture, electrical resilience, costs, efficiency, and schedule risks.
• Credible negotiation and communication skills to influence consultants, equipment manufacturers, and cross-functional leaders.
• University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical strategy, design criteria, assurance plans, and review gates for major data center builds from concept through commissioning.
• Review and maintain global standard designs and Basis of Design documents; govern deviations within authority.
• Lead technical evaluations for HV/MV/LV distribution, standby generation, UPS, battery storage, grounding, and power quality.
• Partner with Supply Chain to establish OFCI equipment strategies and investigate root-cause failures to improve standards.
• Collaborate across Design Management, Construction, Commissioning, Operations and Solutions Engineering while mentoring peers.
