Job summary

TISTA Science and Technology Corporation seeks a Sr EDI Test Engineer to support IT operations, infrastructure protection, and software development for a federal client. You will develop test plans, review results, and drive end-to-end testing across EDI transactions, HL7/FHIR, and HIPAA contexts.

The role requires 5+ years in IT, strong SQL skills, and SAFe Agile experience. Remote work options are available for a U.S.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the IT industry.
Advanced expertise in testing EDI transactions (e.g., 837, 835, 999, 270/271, 277CA).
Proficient in HL7 and FHIR healthcare messaging.
Strong knowledge of EDI layouts, loops, segments, and data elements.
Familiarity with EDI, X12/EDIFACT, HIPAA requirements.
Proficient in writing and executing SQL queries.
Skilled at translating requirements into test artifacts (stories, tasks).
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio).

Responsibilities

Develop and review test plans; create test cases and scripts.
Coordinate functional, integration, and regression testing.
Oversee defect management and report progress to Scrum team.
Present product demos to stakeholders for acceptance and feedback.
Track timelines, blockers, and deliverables.
Engage in Scrum ceremonies and manage testing-related stories.
Liaise between business, design, development, and testing teams on EDI questions.
Assist leads in testing strategies, tools, and automation efforts.
Collaborate with federal/contractor leads to clarify requirements.
Assist in user acceptance testing with clients.
