Job summary

Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Director, Solutions Architecture to lead the Solution Architects within the PaaS Delivery organization, shaping design standards for large healthcare platforms and coordinating with stakeholders.

This remote-first role includes travel to Boston for onboarding and occasional meetings; you will build training materials and drive scalable solution design across complex claims and utilization management systems.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in solution architecture, technical consulting, or similar client-facing technical roles, including healthcare experience.
• 5+ years directly managing a technical team — solution architects, FDEs, or similar.
• Experience with large, complex platforms (claims, utilization management) in enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to lead in ambiguous, fast-changing contexts with sound judgment.
• Strong technical leadership and coaching skills; able to discuss deep technical issues with executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 8 Solution Architects, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
• Own the solution architecture operating model and capacity planning for a growing portfolio.
• Set design quality standards and guide clients to existing functionality and future-state workflows.
• Manage escalations when designs are infeasible or conflict with commercial commitments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align delivery timelines with solution design.
