Job summary

Cohere Health seeks a Director, Solutions Architecture to lead a team of Solution Architects within the PaaS Delivery organization. This remote-first role involves setting technical standards and guiding solution design for large, mission-critical healthcare platforms, including claims systems and utilization management infrastructure.

You will manage the SA team, collaborate across stakeholders, and ensure repeatable, scalable design practices.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in solution architecture, technical consulting, or similar client-facing roles with healthcare experience.
• 3+ years direct management of a technical team (solution architects or equivalent).
• Experience with large, complex enterprise platforms in healthcare.
• Ability to lead in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and coach others.
• Strong technical judgment with people leadership and coaching skills.
• Deep payer operations and utilization management experience.
• Experience presenting to and influencing client executives.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 8 Solution Architects with hires, coaching, and career development.
• Define design quality standards and guide documentation of BRD/FRD and future workflows.
• Engage with customers, balance scope, and push back constructively when needed.
• Own escalations related to design feasibility or commercial commitments.
• Coordinate workloads and align across Delivery org teams.
• Collaborate with owners, engineers, QA, and TPMs to align designs with delivery timelines.
• Represent architecture in cross-functional planning and executive client discussions.
• Create training materials, templates, and playbooks to standardize quality.
