Job summary

Unipharmedtech is seeking a Senior Director, Business Development to drive growth for our healthcare communications and education agency. This is a hunter role focused on opening doors, building relationships, and partnering with pharma marketers to solve business challenges with strategic, educational, digital, and AI-enabled solutions.

You will lead a strategic growth plan, identify and engage brand managers and marketing leaders, and manage the full BD cycle from prospecting to contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare, or a related field.
• 5+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, or pharmaceutical agency experience.
• Proven success selling strategic marketing, digital, educational, or commercial solutions to pharma/biotech.
• Existing relationships with pharmaceutical marketing organizations preferred.
• Curious and creative with ability to identify unmet needs and craft innovative solutions.
• Strong executive presence with presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset to thrive in a fast-growing agency.
• Passion for improving HCP engagement and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan to achieve and exceed annual revenue goals.
• Identify, research, and engage Professional Brand Managers, Consumer Brand Managers, Brand Directors, and other commercial leaders within pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
• Build trusted executive relationships by understanding client objectives, challenges, and patient needs.
• Lead discovery conversations that uncover opportunities for educational, digital, AI-enabled, and engagement solutions with measurable value.
• Present capabilities and strategic recommendations that differentiate the agency.
• Lead the full business development process from prospecting to proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
• Build, manage, and accurately forecast a healthy sales pipeline.
• Represent the agency at conferences, client meetings, and networking events; travel ~25%.
