Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to influence platform decisions and shape reusable CI components and deployment workflows. This remote role focuses on building secure, scalable platform capabilities and onboarding processes for federal-grade environments.

Responsibilities include leading architecture reviews, automating operational and compliance tasks, and mentoring engineers to elevate overall platform excellence across multi-team efforts.

Qualifications

8+ years in Platform Engineering, SRE, or related fields with technical leadership.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
Strong OO programming background in Python/Go/Ruby/Java plus IaC.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and technical direction for Platform Services (FedRAMP High/IL5).
Design Kubernetes-based deployments, ArgoCD workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
Create scalable golden-path solutions to onboard, deploy, and operate apps securely.
Automate deployment, compliance, and operational processes for reliability.
Partner with engineering, security, and ops to ensure platform readiness.
Mentor engineers and drive best practices across teams.
