Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Devops Engineer to shape the architecture and technical direction of platform services for FedRAMP High and IL5 initiatives. This role focuses on automation, platform reliability, and scalable deployment capabilities across engineering teams.

Responsibilities include driving the technical strategy for Platform Services, owning architectural decisions, and leading modernization of release pipelines with automated, policy-driven delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Platform Engineering, SRE, DevOps, or related fields.
• Strong OO programming foundation in Python, Go, Ruby, Java, or similar before DevOps transition.
• Deep Kubernetes, ArgoCD, deployment orchestration, and cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy for Platform Services supporting FedRAMP High/IL5.
• Own architectural decisions for APIs, CI/CD components, and deployment workflows.
• Automate release processes and build golden-path deployment frameworks.
• Develop standards for deployment validation, audit compliance, and rollback procedures.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities and drive decisions.
• Lead architecture reviews focused on security, observability, and reliability.
