Job summary

Bluelight is seeking a senior DevOps/SRE professional to join our expanding consultancy. You will design, implement, and operate secure, scalable cloud architectures for diverse clients, with a strong emphasis on automation and reliability.

The role demands hands-on AWS expertise (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora), IaC, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response, plus collaboration with US-based teams and overlap with US business hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional DevOps/SRE/DevSecOps experience.
• Hands-on with AWS services: ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3.
• Experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL in production with multi-AZ failover and replicas.
• IaC: Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Containerization with Docker and ECS/Fargate.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Deployment automation with rollback drills.
• Monitoring/Observability: OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, etc.
• Load testing with k6 or similar; latency SLOs and error budgets.
• Security-first: vulnerability scanning, secrets management, hardening.
• SOC 2 audit evidence support.
• Incident response, on-call rotations, RCA.
• Background with large, complex systems.
• Overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.
