Job summary

Blu Omega LLC is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to design, provision, and support secure AWS cloud environments for a federal program focused on mission-critical systems. This remote role requires building scalable infrastructure, IaC, and CI/CD integration with GitHub, Jenkins, and related tools.

The successful candidate will collaborate with federal clients and cross-functional teams to ensure secure, resilient operations across development, testing, pre-production, and production environments,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree; 4+ years with an associate's degree; or 6+ years with a high school diploma.
• Hands‑on experience designing, provisioning, configuring, and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure.
• Support for RHEL-based environments.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices with tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Ability to lead technical discovery sessions and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, configuration, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and requirements sessions with product teams and stakeholders.
• Design, provision, configure, and support AWS infrastructure including VPCs and networks.
• Evaluate account structures and configurations for dev, test, pre-prod, and prod.
• Support RHEL-based server infrastructure and troubleshoot issues.
• Apply IaC and automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
• Integrate cloud environments with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Support environments for automated testing ensuring scalability.
• Define test data requirements including datasets and restrictions.
• Inventory interfaces and connections for testing environments.
• Support PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS and evaluate data dependencies.
• Plan, document, and maintain technical architecture and environment configs.
• Ensure solutions adhere to federal security, infrastructure, change, and release standards.
• Troubleshoot and validate deployments and environment setup.
• Collaborate with federal clients and technical teams for mission-critical operations.
