Job summary

Doral Renewables is seeking a Senior Development Manager or Director of Development to join our growing team. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, this role leads utility-scale solar and battery storage project development across the Central U.S., with initial focus on KS, OK, and the Texas Panhandle.

The position is remote, with travel up to 35% to project sites; ideal candidate should reside in KS, OK, or TX panhandle region due to project locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering-preferred.
• Located in KS, OK, or panhandle TX.
• 4+ years of utility-scale renewable energy project development.
• Experience negotiating site control, decommissioning, and road use agreements.
• Clear communication with landowners and public officials.
• Experience leading local/state permitting for renewable projects.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• Proficient with MS Office and GIS-based mapping tools.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at budgeting and scheduling.
• Willing to travel up to 35% and able to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee land acquisition efforts via direct negotiations or external land agents.
• Represent Doral to landowners, government officials, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Manage all aspects of the project development process (land, permitting, studies, hearings, PR/GR, stakeholder relations).
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, marketing, construction, transmission, legal, and operations to identify risks and maximize value.
• Coordinate with technical teams and consultants on transmission interconnection and preliminary layouts.
• Create and manage project budgets and schedules; lead internal teams and oversee external consultants.
