Foley is seeking an experienced Database Engineer to own our SQL Server and AWS Redshift environments. You will lead reliability, performance, and security, architect high-availability and DR strategies, and drive optimization across our AWS data warehouse stack.

You will collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, Engineering, and Analytics teams to support reporting, analytics, and AI use cases while ensuring scalable, cost-efficient design and secure access controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing production database environments.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server including performance tuning and HA/DR notes.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data warehouse technologies including Redshift.
• Proven experience managing database security, access controls, and permissions in regulated or security-conscious environments.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Infrastructure, Engineering, and leadership teams.
• Demonstrated AI fluency and curiosity with automation or AI-enabled tools to improve reliability.

Responsabilités

• Own database reliability, performance, and availability.
• Lead administration, monitoring, tuning, and optimization of SQL Server and Redshift environments.
• Design and maintain high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies meeting SLAs.
• Lead data warehouse operations in AWS.
• Own AWS-based data warehouse architecture for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with Data and Analytics teams to support reporting and AI use cases.
• Manage database security and access controls across platforms.
