Job summary

Dimensional Funds Advisors LP is seeking a Senior Database Platform Engineer to design and run high‑availability database platforms across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Snowflake. You will implement security models, automate deployments, and provide expert mentorship to the database team.

Responsibilities include enhancing data ingestion, managing multi-region Snowflake configurations, and integrating with BI tools such as PowerBI, Sigma, and SailPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field; 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience architecting HA solutions for SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Snowflake.
• Experience with security/auth frameworks and CIS benchmarks.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and PowerShell.
• Knowledge of data ingestion, Snowflake External Tables, and Apache Iceberg.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and administer high availability for SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Snowflake.
• Develop security/auth frameworks for databases and OAuth 2.0 integration.
• Automate deployment and provisioning using Terraform and Ansible.
• Lead database operations, monitoring, and incident response.
• Mentor database team and coordinate with stakeholders.
