Job summary

Tiger Data, the PostgreSQL platform leader, is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Database team. You will guide multiple teams, drive roadmaps, and ensure scalable, reliable database systems.

The role is fully remote and requires deep experience in distributed systems and databases. You will partner with cross-functional leaders, engage with key customers, and mentor engineers to grow a high-performing organization at scale with a focus on PostgreSQL internals and Go-based cloud

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 4+ years in people management.
• Track record leading high-performing teams shipping industrial-strength systems software.
• Strong depth in distributed systems or databases; PostgreSQL internals familiarity is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, query processing, and data replication.
• Passion for building reliable system software and developing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and mentor a globally distributed team of database internals engineers.
• Own team execution and set the technical roadmap with Product, prioritizing speed, quality, and maintainability.
• Partner with Platform Engineering and other leaders to deliver a world-class Tiger Cloud experience.
• Engage with high-value customers on escalations, translating feedback into team priorities.
• Set a high bar as a leader and help the broader engineering organization succeed.
