Job summary

FedEx Corporation is seeking a senior database leader to design, implement, and maintain enterprise databases. You will lead large development projects, perform in-depth root-cause analysis, and ensure data quality and compliance.

The role requires strong collaboration with business customers, development teams, and support groups. Leading and coaching junior DBAs, you will ensure deliverables meet expectations and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field plus 5 years of work experience in IT or engineering environment.
• Equivalent Master’s degree with 3 years of IT/engineering experience accepted.
• Experienced in Teradata Vantage optimization and performance tuning, advanced SQL, scripting (Shell/PowerShell/Python), data security and compliance, and data platform design.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in design, implementation, and maintenance of databases.
• Perform root cause analysis, coding, testing, documentation, and deployment of large development projects.
• Quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate data usage.
• Serve as team lead liaison between business customers, development, and support groups.
