Job summary

Frontdoor, Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Engineer (Remote) to architect and maintain scalable relational and NoSQL databases across cloud platforms. Lead performance tuning, data replication, and security compliance while mentoring peers in an Agile environment.

You will design efficient schemas, implement backup-recovery plans, and contribute to infrastructure-as-code for database provisioning, collaborating with software and IT teams to ensure high availability.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
• Query optimization, indexing, and data replication using Oracle GoldenGate or AWS DMS.
• Proficiency in SQL with Python or Shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build relational and NoSQL databases that are performant, highly available, and scalable.
• Perform advanced query tuning and configure data replication using tools like Oracle GoldenGate or AWS DMS.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead database-related projects and upgrades.
