GovCIO seeks a senior Data Security Analyst — Master to lead enterprise security controls across data, networks, apps, and cloud environments. You will apply deep Palo Alto expertise (firewalls, Panorama, Cortex, Strata) with strong Cisco security capabilities, in a fully remote US-based role.

The position requires hands-on firewall administration, incident response, and a security-first mindset, with a path to advanced threat analytics and security program leadership.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience or commensurate experience.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity, network security, security engineering, or security operations with hands-on firewall administration and incident response.
• Deep expertise administering Palo Alto Networks next‑gen firewalls in complex enterprise environments.
• Advanced experience with Panorama including centralized policy administration, HA workflows, logging, upgrades, and governance.
• Strong practical knowledge of Strata security capabilities, including NGFW, App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID, and decryption.
• Experience with Cortex products or related XDR/EDR/SOAR/SIEM for detection, investigation and automation.
• Strong Cisco networking background and experience with Cisco Secure Firewall/Firepower, ISE, Secure Analytics, routing and switching.
• Understanding of security frameworks (NIST CSF, 800-53, CIS, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX).
• Clearance to obtain and maintain AOUSC Public Trust.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, deploy, administer, and optimize Palo Alto Networks firewalls across data center, campus, branch, cloud, and remote environments.
• Lead centralized firewall management using Panorama, including policy design and administration.
• Design and tune security policies with least privilege and threat prevention controls.
• Operate Cortex for analytics, EDR, IR, automation, and playbooks.
• Collaborate with Cisco teams to integrate secure routing, VPN, and wireless controls.
• Review and document firewall and network change requests per CM processes.
• Perform regular firewall rule reviews, risk assessments, and policy cleanup.
• Maintain accurate network security diagrams and runbooks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and validate remediation of high-risk findings.
• Provide technical mentorship and lead complex troubleshooting.
