Job summary

GovCIO seeks a Data Security Analyst — Master to lead enterprise security controls across data, networks, apps, and cloud environments. The role requires expert hands-on work with Palo Alto Networks portfolios (firewalls, Panorama, Cortex, Strata) and strong Cisco networking skills.

This senior individual-contributor position is fully remote within the United States and reports on security design, policy, and incident response for a modern government IT landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 12+ years in cybersecurity or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on firewall administration in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience with NIST/CIS controls or equivalent security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and optimize Palo Alto firewalls across data center, campus, branch, cloud, and remote environments.
• Lead centralized firewall management using Panorama, including policy templates and high-availability workflows.
• Develop and tune detections, dashboards and playbooks using Cortex and related security platforms.
• Collaborate with Cisco security and network teams to integrate routing, VPN, and segmentation.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure remediation of high-risk findings.
