Job summary

Praxis Precision Medicines, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build and deploy models and data products that accelerate drug substance and product development, packaging, and labeling.

You will collaborate across CMC, Engineering, Formulation, and external CDMOs to turn process data into actionable insight. This hands-on role requires 5+ years in biotech/pharma data science, strong Python/SQL, Databricks, and experience with AI/ML applications, DoE, and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with data science applied to process development.
• 5+ years in biotech/pharma process development or data science.
• Strong Python/SQL, DoE, and statistical analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, validation, and deployment of mechanistic, hybrid, and data-driven models.
• Translate DoE, PAT, IPC, and batch data into predictive analytics.
• Develop analytics for unit operations like blending, granulation, compression, coating, fill/finish.
• Build and maintain pipelines and FAIR data products in Databricks and dashboards.
• Define priorities as digital product owner for process modeling and analytics.
• Present recommendations to stakeholders and mentor colleagues in data science.
