Lyric is the trusted leader in healthcare decision intelligence. As a Senior Data Engineer on the Data Platform team, you will build the data foundation that Lyric's products run on.

The team owns the canonical data model for Lyric's core healthcare data domains, ingests, transforms, validates, and serves data across a multi-tenant platform, and ensures data quality for consuming teams. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a software-related field and 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience building and owning production data pipelines with Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
• Strong SQL skills and deep Python programming expertise.
• Ability to design schemas serving multiple consumers and shared models.
• Experience implementing data quality checks and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own data pipelines in a unified framework using Airflow, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Implement the canonical data model in production and contribute to architectural direction.
• Build automated validation and data quality checks at pipeline stages.
• Instrument pipelines for observability including freshness and lineage.
• Collaborate with invoicing, analytics, and reporting teams to translate requirements.
• Migrate workloads onto the unified framework without disrupting consumers.
• Participate in on-call rotation for pipeline incidents and reviews.
• Maintain high engineering standards: version control, testing, CI/CD, documentation.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical level of the team.
