Jobgether is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead a modern data platform in the United States. This player-coach role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise, shaping architecture while guiding a team of data engineers.

You will build pipelines, governance, and secure APIs for data across the customer journey, enabling AI-enabled decision support. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, vendor management, and driving data initiatives that improve

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software or data engineering, including 5+ years managing engineers.
• Proven track record designing and leading enterprise data architectures (warehouses, modeling, lineage, governance).
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, BigQuery and dbt; strong SQL skills.
• Backend expertise in Python with ability to review code and guide implementation.
• Track record delivering complex data platform projects across multiple teams.
• Experience preparing trusted, governed datasets for AI consumers with traceability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the data engineering team; recruit and coach.
• Define the data roadmap and translate objectives into data initiatives.
• Own data architecture and governance; set standards and reviews.
• Build reliable data pipelines and secure APIs for products and AI systems.
• Prepare data for AI agents with traceability to source data.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Product, and others.
• Manage vendors and costs; monitor tools and warehouse expenses.
