Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced engineering leader to guide a distributed team building scalable data platforms, web crawling, and AI workflows. You will translate product needs into a technical roadmap, mentor engineers, and drive high-quality software delivery in a fast-paced environment.

You will own architecture, ensure reliability, and collaborate with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver value to customers while fostering a culture of learning and accountability.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in software development with data-intensive systems.
• Two+ years leading software teams and mentoring engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience.
• Strong Java or similar language production services experience.
• Experience with distributed architectures and event-driven tech.
• Cloud platforms and containerization experience; modern CI/CD.
• Familiarity with search technologies and data integration.
• Experience with Agile development and Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team with clear goals and feedback.
• Define technical strategy for web crawling, data ingestion and matching.
• Oversee Java-based REST services and large-scale data pipelines.
• Drive AI applications and agentic workflows with evaluation criteria.
• Translate customer needs into a technical roadmap with stakeholders.
• Monitor performance, availability, and cost; manage incidents.
• Participate in architecture reviews and code reviews to uphold standards.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve productivity and quality.
• Use metrics to guide decisions and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, Sales and leadership.
