Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in the United States to build and strengthen data infrastructure powering reporting, analytics, and AI-driven solutions. This hands-on leadership role blends technical excellence with strategic planning and requires guiding platform development and data governance.

You will lead a small team, own data pipelines, collaborate with senior leadership, and oversee data models, security, and access controls while enabling reliable AI tools and scalable data

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering with lead or senior ownership of a production data platform.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Strong proficiency in dbt and advanced SQL, plus working knowledge of Python.
• Experience integrating SaaS platforms and marketing APIs via ELT tools and custom pipelines.
• Ability to shape technical strategy and establish platform direction, not just task execution.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex pipeline issues and document solutions clearly.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Independent, proactive working style with sound judgment in ambiguity.
• Strong organizational skills and a practical, empathetic approach to business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering, platform strategy, and team development.
• Build, test, and document data pipelines and dbt models within Snowflake.
• Integrate data from paid media, web analytics, SEO tools, CRM systems using ELT platforms and APIs.
• Monitor pipelines, diagnose failures, and prevent disruptions.
• Maintain data governance standards including access controls and privacy safeguards.
• Develop semantic layers, metric definitions, and metadata for AI consumption.
• Define data architecture and roadmaps with senior leadership.
• Translate business needs into scalable data solutions and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure data models and governance support analysts, reporting, and AI apps.
• Build and lead a small data support team with playbooks and escalation procedures.
• Expand the data team as business needs grow.
