Job summary

PROSTAFF Schweiz GmbH is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to develop a modern data platform in the insurance and reinsurance sector. You will design, build, and maintain data solutions primarily using Databricks on Azure, focusing on data quality and governance.

The ideal candidate has several years of experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms. The position is remote, with a project duration of 12 months, starting July 15, 2026.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a comparable role.
• Strong experience in building and maintaining data pipelines with Databricks.
• Good experience with cloud-based data platforms, ideally on Azure.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and optimize data pipelines in Databricks.
• Design and implement scalable Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture concepts.
• Develop and maintain Bronze, Silver and Gold data layers.
