Job summary

System Soft Technologies is seeking a senior Data Engineer to design, build and manage large-scale healthcare data platforms. You will work remotely in the US, with occasional travel to Brookfield, WI for meetings and team events. You will mentor engineers, drive architecture decisions, and ensure data security and quality.

You will lead data modeling for clinical terminologies and optimize pipelines for cost and performance while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Expert-level Databricks and AWS knowledge.
• Experience with large structured and unstructured datasets including sensitive patient data.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions using Delta Live Tables and Medallion Architecture.
• Build cloud-based data solutions using AWS, Terraform, and Databricks Asset Bundles.
• Process clinical data with standards such as FHIR, HL7, and C-CDA.
• Design data models using ICD-10, SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm.
• Improve pipeline performance, reliability, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and guide projects end-to-end.
