Job summary

Capital Technology Group seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems following modern data engineering practices. You will partner with other engineers to prototype tools, assess risks, and deliver value to federal clients.

Role emphasizes designing AWS-native platforms, data ingestion, and orchestration using PySpark, Databricks, and dbt, with a focus on FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 compliance and collaboration in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 9+ years in data engineering or related domains.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL, and dbt.
• Experience building AWS-native data platforms and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Iceberg, Parquet, ORC, Avro formats.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Develop and optimize AWS-native data platforms and data orchestration.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver data solutions for federal environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices.
• Ensure security controls and compliance within FedRAMP/NIST frameworks.
