Job summary

Capital Technology Group is seeking a SeniorData Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems for federal and commercial clients. You will partner with other data engineers to evaluate new tools, prototype technologies, and deliver value with modern data engineering best practices.

You will work with Python, Spark, Databricks, dbt, and AWS-native services to deliver secure, compliant data platforms in AWS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 9+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related domains.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark (PySpark), Python, SQL (PostgreSQL), and dbt for large-scale data engineering, ETL/ELT development, data transformation, and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data models.
• Develop and optimize AWS-native data platforms using AWS Glue, EMR, MWAA, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Redshift, RDS, DMS, and CloudWatch.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate in an Agile environment to deliver data solutions.
