Job summary

CapTech is seeking a Data Engineer who will design and maintain modern data pipelines across cloud platforms to enable decision makers. You will partner with product owners and business SMEs, providing trusted technical leadership and scalable solutions.

The role requires 5+ years delivering data engineering on cloud platforms, experience with SQL/NoSQL, and hands-on work with AWS/Azure/GCP, SQL databases, and ETL tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering data engineering solutions on cloud platform
• Experience with at least one cloud-based solution (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• 5+ years with SQL or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, BigQuery)
• Experience with programming languages (Python, Java, R, C/C++/C#, Shell)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (git, Jenkins, CI/CD, Jira)
• Experience with data warehousing/data lake solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks)
• Knowledge of ETL/Data Orchestration tools (Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica, Talend)
• Understand big data concepts and architectures
• Ability to mentor engineers in data engineering space
• Cloud certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Be trusted advisor to customers with best practices and technologies for data engineering
• Design, implement, and maintain modern data pipelines using cloud technologies
• Collaborate with product owners and SMEs to analyze requirements and craft sustainable solutions
• Provide technical leadership and align solutions with customer needs
• Stay current with cloud technologies and share results with stakeholders
