Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
• At least 6 years of experience in application development
• At least 4 years of experience in distributed data
• At least 4 years of experience with SQL
• At least 4 years of experience programming in Python/Java/Scala
• At least 4 years of experience designing and developing data pipelines
• At least 2 years of experience in data modeling with relational and NoSQL databases

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions
• Influence a team of developers, data analysts and data scientists on ML, microservices, lakehouse architecture
• Utilize Python and Spark with SQL, NoSQL databases, and cloud-based data warehousing like Databricks and Snowflake
• Mentor other members of the data community and stay updated on data tech trends
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver cloud-first data solutions
• Independently design, build and deliver data solutions with minimal supervision
• Enforce data engineering design patterns for code quality and reusability
• Act as ambassador for the data engineering team to stakeholders
• Design data pipelines focused on scalability and operational efficiency
• Balance deep technical work with mentoring peers and juniors
• Lead large-scale data initiatives end-to-end and evaluate platform choices
