Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in the USA to design and deliver modern data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and large-scale data movement in a cloud environment. You will partner with stakeholders to migrate legacy workflows to a modern data platform while ensuring reliability and data quality for production cutover.

This role blends hands-on engineering with project coordination across technical and delivery teams.

Qualifications

8+ years of data engineering experience.
5+ years advanced SQL experience with complex queries.
5+ years professional Python development for data processing.
Mortgage whole loans and RMBS knowledge preferred.
Strong quantitative finance background with cashflow models.
Excellent communication and change management skills.
Proven product/program management throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain cloud-native data pipelines and data lake architectures in Snowflake.
Develop and manage scalable ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion and transformation.
Support analytics and reporting use cases with data validation and integrity checks.
Facilitate migration from legacy systems to a modern data platform.
Contribute to project management activities, including breaking down work into epics and user stories.
Assist with project planning, timelines, and team coordination.
Support testing, cutover planning, and go-live readiness.
