Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join a distributed, fully remote team focused on retail technology and analytics. You will collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to sales, customer behavior, and market dynamics, and translate findings into strategic recommendations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of data analysis experience, strong SQL and Python/R skills, and expertise in Tableau/Power BI/Looker with cloud experience.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, CS, Economics, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis/BI with focus on retail.
• Advanced SQL proficiency for data extraction and manipulation.
• Proficiency in Python or R for analysis.
• Strong data visualization experience with Tableau/Power BI/Looker.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, ML algorithms, and experimental design.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage projects.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and process large volumes of structured and unstructured data from retail sources.
• Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends and correlations in sales and customer behavior.
• Develop and implement forecasting, segmentation, and predictive models.
• Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings.
• Translate analyses into clear, actionable business recommendations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations to meet data needs.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to analytics team growth.
• Ensure data integrity and governance across analyses.
