Job summary

World Business Lenders, LLC is seeking a Senior Credit Underwriter to lead complex underwriting for Non-QM residential loans. The role reports to the Chief Lending Officer and oversees underwriting teams, driving improvements in credit quality and loan velocity.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of non-QM underwriting experience, strong credit analysis skills, and a track record in structuring viable lending solutions across diverse borrower scenarios.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive underwriting experience in Non-QM residential mortgage lending
• Expertise in credit analysis, risk assessment, and loan structuring
• Knowledge of Non-QM loan products, including DSCR, Bank Statement, Asset Depletion, Foreign National, ITIN

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to Chief Lending Officer in credit underwriting
• Lead complex underwriting and mentor junior underwriters
• Drive process improvements to enhance credit quality and loan velocity
• Collaborate with Sales, Processing, Valuation, Legal, and Closing teams
• Develop underwriting guidelines and SOPs
• Analyze trends in denials and provide policy recommendations
• Support automation by documenting decision logic
• Serve as SME for complex borrower scenarios
