Job summary

EVERSANA seeks a Senior Counsel, Product & AI to guide strategic legal advice on technology-enabled healthcare and AI offerings. You will partner with product, technology, and commercial teams to enable responsible innovation while protecting IP, privacy, and regulatory interests.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will shape product development lifecycles, manage complex agreements, and navigate HIPAA, FDA, and global privacy frameworks.

Qualifications

• Significant product counseling experience supporting technology-enabled products and services.
• Experience advising on development, commercialization, licensing, or deployment of healthcare/life sciences products.
• Experience advising within regulated healthcare, life sciences, pharma, biotech, digital health, or health tech environments.
• Experience advising product, engineering, technology, data science, research, or commercial teams through the product lifecycle.
• 10–12 years of legal experience involving product counseling, technology transactions, AI, healthcare data, IP, privacy, and related matters.
• Experience drafting and negotiating technology, SaaS, licensing, data, IP, and other commercial agreements.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional legal matters independently.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Responsibilities

• Advise product, technology, commercial, and business teams on AI-enabled healthcare and life sciences products and services development, deployment, and commercialization.
• Counsel stakeholders from concept through launch, deployment, and ongoing product enhancement.
• Assess regulatory risks involving healthcare data, IP, privacy, data rights, AI, and HIPAA, FDA-related requirements, and global privacy laws.
• Draft and negotiate AI, SaaS, technology, licensing, and commercial agreements.
• Advise on AI model development, data sourcing, licensing, ownership, and data usage considerations.
• Collaborate with product, R&D, engineering, data science, and commercial teams to address legal and IP considerations early.
• Monitor evolving AI, digital health, privacy, and regulatory developments; provide practical guidance.
• Translate complex legal issues into clear, risk-based guidance for executives.
• Lead enterprise initiatives in partnership with Legal, Compliance, and Privacy teams.
• Lead cross-functional legal matters with multiple priorities.
