Placements24 seeks a Senior Concept Artist specializing in Environment and Prop Design to shape visuals for games and feature films. This remote-friendly role emphasizes mood, scale, and storytelling through concept art, influencing the look of entire worlds.

You will collaborate with art directors and designers, develop mood boards and detailed illustrations, and iterate on designs to meet project needs while staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience as a Concept Artist with emphasis on environments and props.
• Robust portfolio showcasing environment/prop concept art for games/film.
• Proficient in Photoshop and/or Procreate for digital painting.
• Strong understanding of perspective, composition, color theory, and lighting.

Responsibilities

• Generate high-quality concept art for environments, props, and architectural designs.
• Collaborate with art directors, directors, and game designers to visualize project aesthetics.
• Develop mood boards, sketches, and detailed illustrations to communicate artistic vision.
• Explore a wide range of design solutions, iterate based on feedback and project requirements.
• Maintain understanding of art history, architecture, and various design styles.
• Create detailed callouts and technical specs for 3D modelers and asset creators.
• Contribute to visual development and art direction of projects.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in concept art.
