Job summary

AMC Studio is seeking a Lead Props/Environment 3D Artist to lead our team and set a high-quality bar for prop and environment art. You will drive pipelines, mentor artists, and ensure assets meet AAA partner standards.

You will work with Art Directors, Technical Artists, and Project Managers to optimize workflows and deliver high-quality visuals across multiple projects in a flexible remote setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in game art with 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing hard-surface and organic props in various styles.
• Expert knowledge of Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender, and ZBrush + Substance Suite.
• Deep understanding of Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5) or AAA engines.
• Mastery of PBR workflows, UV optimization, baking, and LOD management.
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Prop Artists with regular feedback.
• Ensure assets meet artistic and technical requirements of AAA partners; maintain Gold Standard output.
• Develop and optimize modeling and texturing workflows (PBR) to meet schedules.
• Manage task distribution and deadlines across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with Art Directors, Technical Artists, and Project Managers to resolve bottlenecks.
• Create and maintain technical briefs, style guides, and documentation for props.
