Kin Insurance is seeking a Senior Complex Claims Adjuster with first-party property claims experience to join our growing team. You will handle structure, dwelling, and contents claims, applying strong negotiation, analytical, and investigative skills on larger losses.

You will build rapport with insureds, manage multi-state regulatory requirements, and guide claims from first notice through resolution while delivering excellent service and timely outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of first-party property claims adjusting experience directly with a carrier.
• Experience handling attorney- and public adjuster-represented claims.
• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate effectively.
• Experience drafting complex reservation of rights letters, coverage denial letters, and release letters.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough and effective recorded statements in support of claim investigations.
• Familiarity with the litigation process and regulatory requirements across multiple states.

Responsabilités

• Examining and appropriately interpreting insureds’ policies and records to determine coverage and liability.
• Drafting, approving, and adjusting estimates of damage using Xactimate and Xactanalysis.
• Using varied methods of investigation including statements, police/fire dept. input, and document reviews.
• Writing diary notes, coordinating with vendors, and issuing payments.
• Applying knowledge of state statutes, ethics, rules, and guidelines.
• Negotiating with attorneys and/or public adjusters to achieve fair settlements.
