Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to join our remote team serving Eastern and Central Time Zones. You will manage an assigned book of business, drive retention, and coordinate daily administrative and customer service activities.

The role requires active P&C licensing, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Key duties include policy management, renewals, billing, claims handling, data integrity in agency

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Maintain policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Communicate workload status with the account team and ensure timely completion.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate needs.
