Job summary

Gainwell Technologies LLC is seeking a Coding Auditor to review medical record documentation for accuracy of principal and secondary diagnosis and procedures. You will apply advanced ICD-10 coding expertise and use HMS systems to document audit determinations and rationale.

You will maintain up-to-date coding guideline knowledge and complete CEUs, while meeting productivity and quality standards. This remote role offers flexible hours and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credential required (CPC/CCS/COC/RHIA/RHIT).
• 3+ years coding inpatient or outpatient claims required.
• Proficient in ICD-10 CM/PCS, APC, HCPCS and CPT coding methodology.

Responsibilities

• Performs audits of medical record documentation to determine accuracy of diagnoses and procedures.
• Adheres to coding guidelines, clinics and regulatory mandates.
• Draws on advanced ICD-10 coding expertise to substantiate conclusions.
• Utilizes HMS auditing systems to document audit determinations and rationale.
• Maintains current knowledge of coding guidelines and completes required CEUs to maintain certification.
• Attends training and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge of policies and regulations.
