Job summary

Peraton seeks a Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer to design and build Python-based AWS cloud solutions and SRE tooling for the Cloud Foundation Services platform. You will implement IaC with Terraform to create scalable, reusable assets that improve reliability across the Federal Reserve System.

Remote role. You will collaborate in Agile teams, develop CI/CD pipelines, and monitor systems with Grafana and CloudWatch while driving SRE best practices and postmortems to prevent incidents.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years advanced Python development for enterprise-grade tools in AWS.
• 7+ years software development with focus on reliability and platform engineering.
• 3+ years AWS experience with core services and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based reliability solutions in AWS.
• Build IaC with Terraform to manage AWS resources and automate workflows.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and automated tests to ensure rapid, reliable delivery.
• Define SRE standards, SLIs/SLOs, postmortems, and incident response drills.
• Collaborate in Agile/SAFe environments and drive cloud automation adoption.
