Job summary

SitusAMC is seeking a senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer to oversee AWS cloud implementation for SaaS products, focusing on scalability, security, and operational excellence. You’ll collaborate with development teams to ensure reliable migration from on-prem to cloud and drive automation, observability, and best practices.

The role emphasizes Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with remote-friendly hours and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience; 1+ years in Associate role or external equivalent.
• 70% Ops 30% Development in DevOps
• Strong experience with containerization, Kubernetes, EKS, CI/CD pipelines using GitOps (ArgoCD/FluxCD).
• Experience with Git for version control, Azure DevOps preferred.
• Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch) and troubleshooting; escalation point.
• Implement best practices for configuring, tuning, and securing APIs/Microservices for uptime.
• Proficient with HTTP concepts to optimize web apps.
• Strong scripting and automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Experience with AWS services: EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, Load Balancers, RDS; large file transfers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development, Business, and Platform teams for products in AWS Cloud.
• Work in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
• Enable development teams with Cloud best practices and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable cloud solutions.
• Improve observability end-to-end for cloud apps.
• Support on-prem apps migrating to AWS Cloud; manage migration.
• Lead initiatives for seamless integration and performance in cloud-native setups.
• Embed with product teams to enable enterprise PaaS & SaaS offerings.
