Job summary

OEC is seeking a hands-on Security Architect to shape and execute our modern security vision. You will design, build, and mature core controls across infrastructures while solving complex technical challenges and delivering steady, incremental security improvements without slowing engineering velocity.

You will lead security in AWS, implement security-as-code with Terraform, and guide teams through hybrid environments. Remote-friendly role with strong collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, including senior/lead roles in growing teams.
• Significant experience operating in hybrid environments and deploying Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of native AWS security services and broader cloud security practices.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and maintains security guardrails and architectures within AWS.
• Writes, reviews, and enforces security controls within Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Assesses and stabilizes security operations across legacy and cloud workloads.
• Matures foundational controls: vulnerability management, SIEM/telemetry, and detection & response.
• Partners with Platform Engineering/DevOps to standardize identity, access, and logging.
• Acts as senior technical contact for security incidents, threat hunting and remediation.
• Translates CISO goals into practical execution plans; mentors engineers on secure design.
