Job summary

Connected Logistics envisions a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to support the VA COSE program. This role provides specialized cybersecurity engineering for high-impact cloud environments, integrating security controls across enterprise and cloud architectures.

The candidate will lead, mentor staff, and collaborate with cloud, DevSecOps, and enterprise teams to deliver secure, mission-aligned solutions and risk reduction.

Qualifications

• Public Trust: T4 or T5 (TS).
• 5+ years of cybersecurity/security engineering experience.
• Experience defining security requirements for complex IT systems/applications.
• Experience evaluating security technologies and integrating into solutions.
• Experience designing, engineering, or implementing cybersecurity solutions.
• Experience performing cybersecurity risk analysis and risk assessments.
• Ability to translate requirements into secure solutions.
• Strong communication to engineering teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and define cybersecurity requirements for mission-critical applications, systems, and cloud environments.
• Evaluate approved security products against requirements.
• Design, develop, engineer, and implement cybersecurity solutions for MLS environments.
• Analyze MLS requirements and develop technical security solutions and architectural approaches.
• Assess system and cloud architectures to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
• Perform cybersecurity risk analysis and mitigation planning.
• Develop security architecture recommendations aligning controls with requirements.
• Incorporate security engineering throughout design, development, and operations.
• Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and EA teams.
• Provide SME guidance on cybersecurity architecture, system security engineering, cloud security, and risk reduction.
• Review proposed architectures for security implications and safeguards.
• Support implementation and validation of security controls and technologies.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity artifacts and documentation.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to cybersecurity engineers and staff.
