Abbott is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Cloud to design, build, and scale secure cloud services for a global healthcare platform. You will work with architecture, InfoSec, and data teams to create APIs, microservices, and tooling in a Go-based environment.

You will contribute to high-performance, low-latency services, collaborate across distributed teams, and help shape architectural decisions in an agile setting. Remote within the United States is supported.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of related experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years of related experience
• Experience with data design and databases such as SQL Server, Postgres or similar.
• Go software development with idiomatic Go, concurrency, and tooling.
• Experience designing scalable architecture and highly available backend systems.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.

Responsabilidades

• Learn and improve Go-based health care platforms.
• Design and implement services and components using Go for cloud platforms.
• Develop high-volume, low-latency services for a global health care platform.
• Collaborate to develop and integrate APIs with internal/external partners.
• Design and implement unit-testable, maintainable code.
• Collaborate with InfoSec to design secure solutions.
• Shape API contracts with internal/external teams.
• Provide ideas with data services to drive insights.
• Ensure performance, uptime and scale of services.
• Contribute to architectural/operational decisions with Architecture team.
• Build internal tooling and APIs to simplify processes.
• Align existing systems with current architectural goals.
• Create diagrams and models of solution components.
• Work in an agile team through development, testing and delivery.
• Participate in code reviews including PRs and design reviews.
• Stay current with emerging trends to drive innovation.
