Job summary

Pantheon Data in Reston, VA is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design and operate secure, cloud-native platforms within AWS GovCloud. You will support ML-enabled workloads processing CUI, PII, and PHI, automating gated security controls across CI/CD pipelines with GHAS or GitLab, and administering production-grade Amazon EKS clusters via GitOps in strict federal compliance.

Qualifications

• 3 years in DevSecOps/DevOps focusing on production AWS environments.
• Proven experience building enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar tools and strong code security tooling knowledge.
• Deep hands-on Kubernetes experience with EKS, cluster hardening, OCI image management, and Helm package management.
• Infrastructure as Code proficiency in Terraform for complex networking and security stacks.
• Practical understanding of NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, or DoD RMF and their application to GovCloud configurations.
• Automation scripting in Python or Bash for operations and security tooling.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Security - Specialty.

Responsibilities

• Secure Infrastructure: design hardened AWS GovCloud environments aligned with NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP baselines.
• Kubernetes & GitOps: manage EKS lifecycle, networking, and security; deploy using Helm and GitOps tools.
• Secure CI/CD Engineering: build pipelines with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD; integrate GHAS and security tooling.
• ML Workload Support: deploy and scale containerized ML models and data pipelines in regulated environments.
